Anxiety is Muscle (and we tore it)

We woke up at 6 AM and decided to have a full-blown existential crisis before breakfast. The result? A conversation that somehow connects doom-scrolling, heart rate spikes, and the spiritual pursuit of living to be a thousand years old (thanks, Lennon).
This episode is for anyone who’s tired of being told to just “get rid” of their anxiety and is ready to maybe, possibly, use it as a fucked-up superpower instead.
We get into:
The 6 AM meditation session that involved… Minions. (We did it anyway.)
Why we’re starting to see our mental spirals as "muscles" that need a good workout.
Our unfiltered take on the loneliness epidemic and why your phone is designed to keep you anxious.
A genuinely mind-blowing moment where we realized we’d had the exact same thought about stress and longevity on the same day.
The simple trick we use to beat the algorithm and be intentional with our attention (it’s probably not what you think).
A Moment to Pause in the Chaos
In the middle of our unhinged rants, we sometimes stumble on something that actually makes us stop and think. This episode was full of those moments. If you need a quick hit of clarity amidst the noise, here’s what we’re sitting with:
Your Attention is Currency. Every time you mindlessly scroll, you're spending your most valuable asset. Be a ruthless investor with where you place it. 🤑
Awareness > Perfection. You don't have to be "good" at meditating, healing, or anything. Showing up and doing it badly is infinitely more powerful than not doing it at all. ✅
Reframe the Tool. What if anxiety isn't a malfunction to be fixed, but a fundamental, ancient tool for your survival? 🧰 The question shifts from "How do I make it stop?" to "What is this trying to tell me, and how can I use its energy?"
You Have to Choose Recovery. Stress—mental or physical—is only beneficial if you have a period of repair. You can't grow if you're constantly in fight-or-flight. Where are you intentionally creating space for your nervous system to drop back down? 🧘
The Narrative is Everything. 👏 The difference between "suffering" and "training" is often just the story you tell yourself about the experience. You get to decide which one it is.
Maybe the goal isn't a peaceful, anxiety-free life. Maybe the goal is to build a self that is strong, aware, and flexible enough to handle the chaos without falling apart. To stop fighting the storm and learn how to dance in the rain. Watch the whole episode here.
Glory fucking be.
